SHARING KNOWLEDGE, FINDING COMPANIONSHIP
Asha recruits and trains local community members to help the most vulnerable asylum seekers, living in extreme social isolation.
These sessions develop into friendships, where knowledge sharing becomes mutually beneficial.
For example, a community member may befriend an asylum speaker who speaks Spanish. So while one is receiving help to learn English, the other is learning Spanish.
This is a great way to learn and respect each others culture and background.
