How you can help

Asha is in constant need of financial donations to continue to support the growing number of asylum seekers and refugees.

You can donate online via BACS bank transfer, by standing order or by sending us a cheque.

If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim 25p of tax for every £1 you donate, at no extra cost to you. All you need to do is complete a Gift Aid declaration and return it to us by email or by post.

We are extremely grateful for any help you can provide.

  • Pay by BACS transfer
To pay by BACS, please contact Godfrey on 07429 007234 or email seminega@asha-uk.org

  • Pay by Cheque
Please make cheques payable to Asha North Staffordshire
Post them to: Asha North Staffordshire, Unit 7, Hanley Business Park, Cooper Street, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 4DW

Other ways to help

Of course, we are always in need of food. In particular, basmati rice, sunflower cooking oil, long life (UHT) milk, tinned tuna, tinned tomatoes, coffee, tea, biscuits, jam, honey, sugar, chickpeas and other pulses, cereals, flour, salt and pepper. We cannot accept products containing meat, or sauces or soups in packets.

We would also be very grateful of these items…

Computers

We use computers to teach asylum seekers essential digital skills so that they can access important online services such as the NHS and GP services.

Bicycles

Asha helps asylum seekers with transport needs. Bicycles are a good way to help them get to important appointments on time.

Clothing

Do you have any nearly new clothes or shoes that you no longer need? If so, we’d happily accept them for our service users.

Household items

We always need small electrical appliances like kettles, toasters and irons. Saucepans, ironing boards, bed linen and towels are also on our wish list.

Our supporting funders & partners

Asha is core funded by the National Lottery Reaching Communities programme – and many other fantastic organisations also support the work we do…
