Our Impact

In 2022, Asha provided support to over 900 adult and child asylum seekers and refugees across North Staffordshire. Some of our impact reporting can be viewed here to highlight the importance of the work carried out by the charity.

Kind-hearted doners have provided over 500 collections through the FareShare charity network, equating to more than 20,000 kg of collected food, or almost 60,000 meals distributed to some of the most vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers in our community.

These donations not only supply essential food and every-day living necessities for those who cannot provide enough for themselves, but offer a chance for isolated individuals to socialise during collection and distribution, an important opportunity to contribute to our vibrate community.

The two figures presented below are part of a project employing data analysis to further the goals of the charity. While providing support and aid to refugees and asylum seekers, assessments were conducted to identify the areas of need most important to our service users.

Follow up assessments showed an improvement in these areas of need, demonstrating the impact Asha’s work is having on improving the quality of life for refugees and asylum seekers in Staffordshire. Service users who made the most of Asha’s activities and events particularly saw an improvement on their assessment scores
