You may boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate. Gift Aid is reclaimed by the charity from the tax you pay for the current year.  Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK tax payer.

Other Donations

As well as donating your time by volunteering, Asha accepts computers, collects bicycles to refurbish for asylum seekers, nearly-new clothing and shoes and household items like saucepans, electric toasters and kettles, irons and ironing boards, bed linen and towels.

Asha tries to maintain a stock of food to give to asylum seekers and especially those who are destitute or a family confronting a crisis. Most wanted food items are:

  • Basmati rice
  • Sunflower cooking oil (Best value in Aldi)
  • Long life milk
  • Tinned tuna and Tomatoes

Other wanted items include long-life milk, coffee, tea and biscuits, jam and honey, sugar, chick peas and other pulses, cereals, flour, salt and pepper.

We do not need products containing meat or sauces or soups in packets.

You can also help by making donations to support the Integration and Emergency funds and special events like a summer outing to the seaside and the Christmas party,
