Asha North Staffordshire

2022 Christmas Appeal

Dear Supporter

Asha is setting up a HARDSHIP FUND. Will you contribute?

An influx of men, women and families have arrived in Stoke-on-Trent with little more than what they stand up in from the controversial Manston processing centre.

Home Office provider, Serco, are accommodating these new arrivals in the North Stafford and Great Western hotels. A roof over their head and meals is all they can expect until Section 95 support is approved. This is likely to take several weeks or longer and will amount to less than £10.00 a week.

This is where Asha comes in.

Many new arrivals are finding their way to Asha. A Hardship Fund will enable Asha to respond to their immediate needs, to purchase necessities or meet an emergency.

Children are asking for milk and we need a plentiful supply of coffee, sugar, biscuits and to pay for our re-established Friday lunches. Donations of clothing and shoes for all ages, toys (without batteries) the children can take away with them, and board games for adults are also welcomed.

You may deliver to Asha at Unit 7 Hanley Business Park, Cooper Street, Hanley T14DW

Monday, Tuesday and Saturday 10.00-1.00 pm

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10.00-2.00 pm

You may donate online at by Standing Order or Cheque. Please Gift Aid your donation if you can do so.

                                       CHRISTMAS APPEAL

Besides gifts for babies, children and young people, Asha aims to give all its users a little extra to make a difference at a time when loss and separation from family, community and country is felt most acutely.

Last year your donations raised £3000+. This amount, or more, remains our goal. Will you contribute? See above for details.
